Wilton Park is a beautiful park in Batley with areas of formal gardens, woodland, lawns and a lake.
However there is also great scope to enhance the park for everyone’s enjoyment and have some fun at the same time. Clearing overgrown shrubs, burning brash and enjoying the experience of practical teamwork in the great outdoors as well as relaxing with a mug of tea or coffee and a slice of cake after your efforts.
The park keepers have a long list of hundreds of tasks that need some extra hands to make light work of to make the park even more beautiful. Working with an experienced park ranger, plans are being developed to create volunteering days to start to tackle all the outstanding tasks that need attention.
