Last Friday a small group of men met to plan the development of a Men’s Shed in Denby Dale. Local resident Robert Barber is a retired college lecturer who is spearheading the initiative was joined by Hugh Balfour from Flockton, Councelor Graham Turney and Dave Wilde from the Parish Council and Andy Ryland Men’s Shed Development Officer from Rural Action Yorkshire.

Robert’s vision is a Men’s Shed focused around sharing workshop skills such as wood and metal work.

The group are now in the process of identifying suitable premises for the development of the Shed and would be interested in hearing from anyone else who is interested in being involved in the project.
